Northern Nights works hard to create an environment that is welcoming to all festival guests. Please read this guide thoroughly for information relating to accessibly attending Northern Nights before sending an inquiry email. If you have accessibility questions that are not covered below, send an email to nnmfada@gmail.com and we will do our best to assist you.
Once you have purchased a ticket, please use the following form to register with the Accessibility Team so we can plan for your attendance:
NNMF 2026 Accessibility Program Pre-Registration Form
1) Event Grounds
The festival grounds are full of natural beauty with towering Redwoods, an amazing meadow, and the Eel River all within the boundaries of the event. Northern Nights strives to make the festival as accessible as possible. Please be aware that the grounds are rocky and un-level in some places, have natural paths connecting zones across moderate distances, and certain areas have changes in elevation including steeper grades. NNMF is set in a rural environment with limited lighting at night in some areas.
2) Festival Accessibility
This festival is navigable by wheelchair and by those with other mobility support devices. We encourage guests to bring and utilize their personal mobility devices, such as motorized wheelchairs, three or four wheeled scooters, walkers, canes, crutches, and collapsable chairs/stools to independently explore and enjoy the festival. We do not provide wheelchair or scooter rentals.
3) Non-Approved Mobility Devices
One-wheeled and two-wheeled mobility devices are not permitted. If you have questions about your preferred mobility device, please reach out to nnmfada@gmail.com. Guests may NOT use personal golf carts, onewheels, all terrain vehicles, hoverboards, motorbikes, or any other recreation vehicles.
4) Accessible Parking
Northern Nights holds a limited number of accessible parking spaces in our Reserved On-Site Parking lot and Off-Site Parking lots. The Reserved Parking Lot is located within the festival grounds and is the best choice for easy access to your vehicle during the event as it is close to Accessible Camp. Availability is limited and is first come first served. A Reserved Onsite Parking pass is required for access to this lot.
ADA-designated parking is reserved for guests with a valid, state-issued disabled parking placard, permit, or license plate. The individual to whom the disability credential is issued must be present with the vehicle and identification checks are required to access accessible parking to ensure legitimate use.
If you do not have a placard/plate but still need accessibility support, please contact the Accessibility Team in advance to discuss available options.
5) Accessibility Hub
The Accessibility Hub is centrally located within the festival grounds and is the home base for all things accessibility. Stop in and register with the Accessibility Team, along with your designated helper, to receive your Accessibility credentials. If you plan to attend with a service animal, we encourage you to participate in our Service Animal Support Program by registering them at the Accessibility Hub.
6) Accessibility Credentials
NNMF Accessibility credentials grant access to our accessibility support services. Please make sure to check in with the Accessibility Team to receive yours. Accessibility credentials are required to access accessible services such as ADA-designated parking and car camping areas, Accessible Camp, designated viewing platforms (registered guest +1 support guest), and transportation assistance.
7) Accessible Camping
Northern Nights hosts various camping options for our guests with accessibility needs in Accessible Camp. Located in the heart of the festival, Accessible Camp is close to the Main Stage, Grove Stage, Food Court, General Store, and accessible showers. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and advance registration is encouraged to save your space. While we do our best to accommodate unregistered guests, space is not guaranteed. You can reserve your space through the Accessibility Pre-Registration Form.
Accessible Camp can accommodate the following camping types: GA Tent Camping, Redwood Grove Camping (ticket required), and Car Camping (ticket required).
ADA-designated Car Camping areas are reserved for guests with a valid, state-issued disabled parking placard, permit, or license plate. The individual to whom the disability credential is issued must be present with the vehicle and identification checks are required to access accessible parking to ensure legitimate use.
If you do not have a placard/plate but still need accessibility support, please contact the Accessibility Team in advance to discuss available options.
8) Device Charging
The Accessibility Hub can support you if charging of motorized mobility devices or medical equipment is needed. Guests must provide their own charging cords and devices must use 110v/20Amp standard outlet. Check in with the Accessibility Team at the Accessibility Hub for assistance.
9) Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines and must remain under the handler’s control at all times. Please make arrangements to register your service animal in our Service Animal Support Program through the Accessibility Pre-Registration Form or by emailing us in advance. This helps our team identify the handler and support reunification if the animal is ever separated from you.
Pets, Emotional Support Animals, and Companion Animals are not permitted. It is a crime to misrepresent your animal as a Service Animal.

Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights is powered by music, community, and a whole lot of love for the redwoods. It’s a privilege to gather, connect, and dance in such a magical place, but every festival leaves a footprint on the environment and we want ours to be as light as possible. This is a team effort and we need your support!
Here are a few ways you can decrease your footprint:
Car Pool: Plan ahead and ride with your friends to reduce emissions and lower fuel consumption.
Think Re-Usable: Single use plastics are a major contributor to waste so bring your refillable water bottles, washable utensils, and reuse those camping supplies.
Sort Your Waste: Properly sorted waste makes a big difference in our ability to divert recyclable materials away from the landfill. Take that extra second to make sure you’re tossing your trash the right way.
Pack It In & Pack It Out: Be responsible for yourself and your impact - take out what you brought in. Leaving large trash piles behind transfers responsibility on to others.
Small choices from thousands of people can make a huge difference in protecting the land we dance on, the redwoods that watch over us, and the future of Northern Nights.

Please demonstrate respect for everyone participating in Northern Nights by not bringing the following prohibited items:
Weapons are obviously not allowed and not tolerated.
Fire and fireworks create unnecessary fire hazards and are strictly and expressly prohibited.
Due to extremely high fire danger, all burning is prohibited, including fireworks, campfires, BBQs and fire dancing.
Glass is not allowed anywhere within the festival and will be confiscated. Plan accordingly.
*Please note: Northern Nights Staff are instructed to confiscate any prohibited items, including glass containers, knives or anything deemed a weapon, unauthorized video or audio recording equipment, unauthorized professional cameras, pets, aerosol cans, drugs or drug paraphernalia, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, samples or giveaways.
Possession of prohibited items could result in removal from the festival.
